云南省建筑工程设计院成立于１９８４年，是一所持有国家甲级设计资质，同时持有国家工程咨询甲级资质、国家工程地质勘察甲级资质、工程总承包乙级资质及国家建筑智能化系统设计甲级资质、城市规划设计资质、装饰工程资质的独立核算、自主经营的设计单位，为云南建工集团核心成员单位。
    全院现有建筑、结构、规划、给排水、暖通、电气、工程经济、工程勘察等专业技术人员188人，云南省勘察设计大师2人，教授级高级工程师4人，高级工程师 36人，工程师30人。注册建筑师16人（其中国家一级注册建筑师9人，二级注册建筑师7人）、一级注册结构工程师8人、国家注册公用设备工程师4人，国家注册电气工程师2人，国家注册土木（岩土）工程师4人，注册规划师4人、注册咨询工程师10人，注册造价工程师1人，享受国务院专家津贴4人。专业设计人员齐全，配置合理，已实现计算机网络设计与管理。业务范围包括工业与民用建筑设计；工程地质勘察及地基处理；危房加固与改造；工程技术咨询与监理；工程项目可行性研究；建筑装饰设计与施工以及勘察、设计、施工、监理全过程总承包；
    工程项目遍及云南省各地（州）、县（市），并进入７省（自治区）以及西亚和非洲市场，完成具有较高影响的工程有云南建工大楼、昆明云信大厦、云南电子大厦、云南省图书馆、昆明天元国际商厦、北市区客运枢纽、丽江电信枢纽、公安厅禁毒中心大楼、昆明华煜大厦、昆明金牛大厦、大理医学院门诊楼、云南省林业中西医结合医院、喀麦隆巴尔马尤医院门诊楼、呈贡县人民医院整体设计、云南省体育运动学校海埂新校区工程、昆明市第十二中学教学楼、施甸县教育局教学楼、保山市第八中学中央楼及教学楼、昆明理工大学实验楼、文山师范专科学校总体工程设计、昆明市师范附小逸夫楼、昆明金马绿园小区、昆明春晖小区、昆明福源小区、昆明江东花园、省房地产锦秀山庄、昆明棕树营高层住宅、沁园小区、昆明和睦居花园、昆明万达房地产滇池卫城高尔夫、文山师范高等专科学校修建性详细规划、实验楼、培训楼、曲靖师范学院施工总图及三大主体、云南省质监局科研大楼、开远一中整体搬迁工程等；国外工程有也门塔兹饭店、也门外贸大楼、老挝巴色机场等大型民用及公用建筑，年完成投资能力2０亿以上，多年来共获得部、省级优秀设计奖、勘察奖、科技进步奖42项，取得了显著的社会效益和经济效益。
    2000年被昆明市人民政府命名为“连续五年重合同，守信用企业”，2002年度被昆明市人民政府命名为“连续十年重合同，守信用企业”。从1999年9月开始我院选择了ISO9001质量体系模式，为提高自己质量管理的标准，在全院职工的共同努力下，经北京外建质量认证中心评审，于2000年12月29日获得了ISO9001质量体系认证证书。2003年7月29号通过了监督审核。

Architecture & Engineering Design Institute of Yunnan Province is a design company with separate accounting and making our own management decisions, which was established in 1984 qualified with Chinese National Design Qualification Certificate Grade A, Chinese National Engineering Consultation Qualification Certificate Grade A, Chinese National Geological Survey Qualification Certificate Grade A, Project General Contractor Qualification Certificate Grade B, Chinese National Intelligent Construction System Design Qualification Certificate Grade A, city planning certificate and architecture decoration engineering certificate. It is one of the core member companies of Yunnan Construction Engineering Group.
There are 120 technical professionals in our design institute covering architecture, structure, planning, water supply and drainage, air conditioning and ventilation, electrical system, engineering economy and engineering survey. There are 36 professionals with senior technical post title and 41 professionals with technical title, including 7 chartered first-grade architects, 7 chartered second-grade architects, 13 chartered first-grade structural engineers, 8 chartered supervising engineers, 1 chartered planning engineer, 1 chartered planner and 10 chartered consulting engineers. Our design institute is equipped with complete design professionals reasonably, and has fully achieved in computerized aid network design and management. The business scope covers industrial and civil architecture and structural design, engineering geological survey and groundwork treatment, rehabilitation and stiffening for unsafe buildings, technical consultation and supervision for projects, project feasibility study, architectural decoration design and construction, and general project contractor in complete process from survey, design, construction and supervision.

The overseas achievements and experience are Ta’iz Hotel of Yemen, Yemen Foreign Trade Building and LaoPakse Airport, and other large size civil and public buildings and structures. The completed annual investment capacity of our design institute is more than RMB2 billion, and our design institute has won 42 Excellent Design Awards, Survey Awards, and Scientific and Technological Improvement Awards at ministerial and provincial levels so far, and has made a prominent social benefit and return.
In 2000, our design institute was awarded the honour title as Enterprise Abided by Contracts and Keep its Words in Continuous Five Years by People’s Government of Kunming Municipality, and was awarded the honour title as Enterprise Abided by Contracts and Keep its Words in Continuous Ten Years by People’s Government of Kunming Municipality in 2002. Our design institute chose ISO9001 quality system mode since September 1999 in order to improve our own quality management standard, and thanks to joint efforts made by all staff, our design institute has been awarded the ISO9001 Quality System Accreditation Certificate on December 29, 2000, evaluated and examined by Beijing Waijing Quality Accreditation Center. In July 29, our design institute passed the supervision and evaluation.
